Big Bang Theory is an awful show

Why are we still going on about this?

Do you know what's starting to get old documentary style sitcoms where they look at the camera and have little mini-interviews...actually, wait. I LOVE THOSE TYPES! Modern Family, The Office, Parks and Rec...

To each their own?

Modern Family is like that? I've never seen it.

Parks and Rec is amazing though. And The Office is still pretty good (and they have cut back on the interview sections lately).

Damn straight.

As far as comedies go, I have been enjoying the crap out of New Girl. I'm still peeved, but not surprised, that Community got canceled. And as always, I'm expectantly waiting for more Psych.

New Girl and Up All Night are both really good for new nerwork tv comedies. I watch both with my wife.

Up All NIght is great. I went into it with such low expectations because of Running Wilde (even though I knew it was going to be very different).

Like I said, it was written and performed in such a way that it plays off the live laughter. It would take a lot of tweaking to make it different.

That said, I have no interest in watching it and have only seen maybe 5 minutes of it ever.

So I'm not defending it, just saying that it fits a certain genre of sitcom. And it's not the "laugh track" that's all to blame.
For me this was never about the laugh track, except for my autism joke. (I fucking love that joke.)

It's because it's poorly written.

Modern Family is pretty funny the few times I've watched it, though.

Now this thread is making me miss cable. When you watch everything online, you only watch what you know you like and don't try anything new.

I should start watching Parks & Rec, New Girl and other shows.

I missed watching Married... With Children when it was on; can't say much apart from watching Big Bang Theory when it's convenient. Reruns usually.
