The chat is not a friendly place unless you have been there for years. New folks are treated like mexicans at the arizona boarder. It is also pretty dead until the evening EST. Just a warning that if someone is a dick to you in there, don't take it personally. Everyone goes through a little hazing it seems.

Also, there will be a long memberlist, but most users Idle until they are active in the evening. Don't be upset that nobody talks to you right away, it takes time.

I've been on the chat a lot in the last week or so, but that ain't gonna last. Usually I'm on for exended periods when I can get my mIRC working. 500 days on a free trial doesn't come favorably for me.

I used to browse the chat, but it's more of an inside circle than the forum. It's also usually dead. Then again, I'm not on there during the EST evening hours. But I was never treated poorly in their everyone is friendly. One of the guys in there talks like a manic depressive. Those are the things I've noticed.
Remember the competition we had about 2 years ago in chat? It consisted of people on forums doing 3 tasks in either the Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft boards (Users could only choose one). And the winner of those 3 tasks entered a chat quiz representing one of 3 mentioned above!
That was fun as fuck. I came runner-up in the Nintendo one, but since the winner didn't show up in chat, I got to do it.
Can you chat whores organise something like that again? Just the chat quiz part, since that was the best bit.
