Anyone old enough to remember me?

Well, I kind of get what he is talking about in regards to reviews and things. The old GR didn't have much concern for their reputation and their reviewers took a certain delight in trashing bad, poorly made games and I took a certain delight in reading them. It was the first game review site I ran into back then that if a game sucked they would just flat out tell you that it sucked and would usually make you laugh while doing so. A couple of my favorites over the years:

http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/survivor
http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/the-crow-city-of
http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/limbo-lost
http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/ni ... reatures-2 (this one especially since I bought it blindly before I read the review and was pissed about it for a while. Reading this was cathartic for me)
And who can forget Spice Word (Which they refused to review)

I get that the climate in the industry is much different now and that game reviewers have to toe the line in most cases to stay in the good graces of most of the publishers so everyone plays nice and puts on a big smile. 7's, 8's, and 9's for everyone, yay!

Anyway, I know nothing lasts forever and things change over time so I was able to adjust to the new GR and I think you guys are doing a good job with it (which is partly why I decided to step out of the shadows and become more involved) so keep up the good work

Sure I remember you. Aren't you the guy who has a constant feud going on with Batman?

But seriously, I do remember you from the times I lurked the old forums. Nice to meet you.

I've definitely heard of you, and maybe vaguely remember you? Long time ago though, and there was huge turnover in the forum members right about when I started posting.

Well the front page is kinda cluttered with half assed blogs now (aside from the great E3 coverage so i think they're fixing that!) but overall it's the same GR.

And I remember you. I liked you more when you were 13.
