NOU! Naruto deals with a decent amount of story.
Although there has been a bit of transformations going on, and this weeks manga was kinda, well... It didnt make much sense, I'll say that.

EDIT: I thought this week's chapter was pretty cool. Although Samehada turning on Kisame was a pretty cheap plot line! I would've liked the battle in the water to have lasted longer too.

Naruto Shippuuden is A LOT more mature than the first lot of Naruto. There's are quite a few surprising deaths in Shippuuden :'(
