Time to change the subject. Today I got an email from the CIA. It reads:

You’ll also get great benefits: an annual salary; health insurance, life insurance and retirement; plus up to $18,000 a year for tuition, mandatory fees and books. If you’re selected into the program, you will attend an orientation session in August and report for your first tour in May of the following year. We will pay the cost of transportation between your school and the Washington, DC area each summer.

Because your acceptance into the Undergraduate Scholar Program is our investment in you, accepting an offer means making a career choice. You must agree to continue your employment with us after college graduation for a period equal to 1.5 times the length of your college sponsorship.

I got chomped by a pelican at Port San Luis last Saturday. It kinda slowly inched toward me on the fence and I put my arm in front of it's face.
