|OT| Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

It pretty much goes that if you do an enchantment of Fortify Alchemy and then make a potion of Fortify Enchanting, you can make your gear infinitely powerful.

Can you make bows? I'm not an archer but I was just wondering if I'd ever seen them on the crafting menu.

Yeah, you can make bows.

And agreed. No clue why there isn't just the ability to use firewood and an ingot to make 10 arrows.

Also, I found a way to grind up my stealth without even being in the room. In the Temple of Kynareth, go in front of the Sickly Farmer, maneuver yourself in between the table and the bookshelf, weigh down the forward on the joystick/keyboard, and then go watch a movie or something. Suddenly, 100 stealth!

So, while I wait, enjoy this clip to the best mod ever: http://youtu.be/QS7CcTLdzLo

Yeah, I saw a video of a guy who made a Daedric Bow with all fortify smithing enchanted gear and it ended up at like +2500 damage stock...

How did he manage that? I had a lapse of thinking and only had a ring and neck with the fortify smithing enchant so I went back and tried to put some on other pieces of gear but the only other things you can put it on are gloves and chest and upgraded my stuff again while using a fortify smithing potion on top of those. (updated the other screenshots in my previous post.)

Actually, doesn't really matter, it's all overkill at this point...lol

So are you guys one shotting bosses and engaging dragons in fisticuffs on the hardest difficulty setting? If so, I might not bother with a heavy armor/melee/warrior type. The game is challenging to a satisfying degree on Adept as my thief-mage.

the difficulty levels are stupid.

on the hardest you still one shot things, but other stuff can one shot you. there is very little strategy to the "difficulty" level. it's more or less, are you sadistic and like to be tortured? if so put it on the hardest difficulty where you will be randomly one shotted after one shotting other things for an hour. cannot be avoided, good luck have fun.

then setting it on easy you can just sprint and run into things and they die and nothing will ever hurt you.

adept is the only mildly balanced difficulty. it is still easily playable on the hardest, but like i said, you will randomly get one shotted here and there. completely unavoidable, just depends how lucky you are, or aren't.

so where can u find the enchanted gear to disenchant?? like weapon buffs and magic resist for armor .. or is it all just random drops you gotta find / buy?

All of the above. I found some, got some from quests, and bought some off vendors.

Most of the enchanted stuff I found in dungeons, though I've had to keep my eyes open at shops and buy a few items with enchantments I've wanted, like soul trap.

I don't know if it's a product of the new patch or what, but the last few days whenever a random dragon would spawn it would spawn a second one as well....

Fighting both a blood dragon and frost dragon is pretty fun.

the stealth trick is sweet, any idea how to turn off the 20 minute timer on the xbox controller? Using a hair elastic to pull the joystick to the side but the controller turns off after a while

No idea. Perhaps you'll need a chord to plug it in or something. I did it on PS3 with a heavy candle, and left the controller plugged in. And it took over two hours to do.

And it ultimately didn't do much, because skills are only useful if you buy the perks. Mumble grumble.

You have to plug in it with the cord to stop it from turning off, although it SHOULDN'T turn off if an actual control is being used.

I found a cave of forsworn that had a gate that was activate by a pressure plate. Well, I've got the sneak skill that stops you from activating pressure plates, so I thought I was boned.

Then my brother suggested I move a dead body over the plate and it so totally worked. Still, that's something I consider extremely broken.

problem with you lot that you're all just maxing characters. why don't you try playing the damn game instead of exploiting your way through?
