Yes, we had the first L4D down here. It got classification straight away.
Now, they're banning L4D2 because of 'new gore, shooting off limbs is more realistic, melee weapons cause more damage'..etc.

If they were worried about gore like that, Fallout 3 & CoD5 would have been instabanned.
It just makes absolutely no sense.
As far as i can tell, between christmas last year and this year, a bunch of 60 year old dickhead nazi supporters must have come into power at our rating board, and decided that NO! kids shouldn't be allowed to use the internet or play violent video games, because it's OBVIOUSLY too violent for their young minds to comprehend.
Meanwhile, i'm watching MA15+ movies on TV, at 8:30PM, and SBS late at night. And watching the news.
What makes less sense is them bothering to do this, seeing as literally everyone over 13 i've met knows what a Proxy is, which destroys the internet filters use, and a good 60% of them know about Torrents. add in the fact that everyone knows how to order off ebay, and you have a big pile of bullshit which unnecessarily takes away sales from local retailers, and causes normal people to have to resort to other measures to obtain L4D2.

correct me if im wrong but its totally ok to buy banned games OS and import them but its just that you cant sell banned games within Australia, which is actually not as bad as with the OFLC and movies, banned movies get stopped at customs here i know from experience

the movie was "murder set pieces" i think it had a rape scene and realistic dismemberment of a child (two of my favorite plot devices) but i didnt get to watch it so i cant say if it was that bad
all i know is im on some list now which makes it even harder to import illegal things :twisted: but games have been fine in the past, dark sector silent hill came through without a problem
