The current dogma in the GOP is if you aren't Far Right Conservative, you are in the wrong party. And if you are in the wrong party, you are a Socialist Liberal who hates America and loves giving money to illegals.

In Florida our governor election is between Rick Scott (R), a business man who until the primaries had no political background but now is sucking the cock out of every conservative lobby and Republican Governor's Association versus Alex Sink (D), a 26 year banker who is CFO of Florida under Charlie Christ (a former Republican).

The current slander campaigns say that she's a LIBERAL.

To be honest, two party systems suck because you will always go through times of polarization. I used to be Republican but with some of the crap they're doing lately... I guess the only thing you can do is get involved in local politics if you can, or even better find a good charity or volunteer group and actually help your community.

Unfortunately, I have WAAAY too much dirt in my past to become any elected official apart from a member of the House or City Council.

And part of the problem isn't those who manipulate, like the politicians and the press, but those who are so easily manipulated, ie the idiotic mobs of people. There's a damn good reason why the framers went with a Republic as opposed to a Direct Democracy, and that's because the people are stupid as fuck. And as long as they have any power, a guy like me is never going to be elected.

Still, we need to change the way things are run. Right now we aren't living in a Democracy, it's a Kleptocracy.
I just discovered that that's a real thing and wanted to use it. Sorry.
