What the hell happened to Issac?

So I finished Dead Space, Issac was escaping on his ship intro the final cinematic. And out of nowhere pops the mutant or zombie or whatever that is and attacks him. I was hitting my head on the wall because i went through all that so I will see him getting killed. But some people say he survived the attack. I got to know so I will have some hope that dead space 2 will be released.

P.S I didn't actully know where to post this because the game has versions for alot of consoles.

But yeah, just have to wait and see. IF Dead Space 2 does come out, it may not necessarily be Issac. So you may have to come to terms with the unknown of Issac's survival.

Plus Dead Space: Extraction for the Wii will likely explain a certain someone's fate before Issac comes into the story, so it might reveal what is going on too.

Honestly, I think the attack was more in Isaac's mind than an actual physical attack. Knowing that he's on his way to Earth or wherever: Isaac could possibly be the next main enemy if he has certainly lost his mind. Or he could have to fight it throughout Dead Space 2 with scary looking flashes ala The Suffering.

There is a lot of possibility for Dead Space 2, and I hope EA can see the potential.

No Issac? But that guy is kick ass. I wouldn't play as well as dead space one without him. Anyway all the other heroes from Dead Space are dead.

Isaac was a miner.

I just hope they dont ruin it by making the main protagonist an action guy. Half of what made Dead Space awesome was because he only used mining tools (Pulse rifle I'm not so sure about ).

Anyway, we dont even know if there WILL be a second!

Dead Space Extraction will be played as a prequel I think.

You'll play as one of the members of the crew on the planet when all hell breaks loose. Some time did pass when I've read that article though, so my information could be misleading. For that I apologize.

About what happened to Isaac: there are several theories going around the internet right now. Maybe this would be the best bet to satisfy your curiosity.

Producer Glen Schofield revealed in an interview that Isaac is not dead, meaning that Isaac either survived the encounter, or it was a hallucination.

Dead Space extraction happens the same time as Dead Spaceownfall(the movie) so you probably will be playing with Alissa Vincent.
