    The kid probably had the Sony Entertainment Play System, In which case my first game was Super Battle Arena Toshinden Bros.

    i started out on the NES and good old copy of the original Zelda. wow that was a long time ago...

    yeah i had a gameboy with the magnifier, also had a nes, still have 2 of those actually..

    Then SNES, which my mother took from me and sold.

    My mom sold my NES too. Only a few days after I had bought it from a yard sale.
