What constitutes classic gaming in your mind, right now?

Of course. You're still not being clear in addressing the question about where a line is drawn, though. Retro games depend on age, but do you measure that in terms of years ago, years from the most current console, in generations, technological advances, or something else? What is "old school" (in this context)?
