That said, I still remember when Black Star got banned. Shit was tragic, but it marked the beginning of the end for TNO's shift from tyranny to being nothing more than a laughing stock. Of course, he didn't leave until, like, two years after he really should've. And by then, the damage was already done.

And MattAY has the same name as me, so of course he's awesome. Everyone named Matt is awesome. We're all bros.

Luke's are douches though.

Lets consider the track record Matt's have. There's madster, and that's about it.
Meanwhile, Lukes have Coolhand Luke, Lucky Luke, Luke Skywalker, and a whole bunch others. Thus, Lukes are much better.

I don't remember exactly how it went down. Something along the lines of me feeling rebellious against TNO's closing spree just so he could always get the last word in. So I made a thread about something at random which was.... what color are your pants. He closed it. I made another titled how many pairs of pants can you wear at once, he closed it. I made another about three legged pants, he- well you get the idea. Eventually he warned me I was on thin ice. I made a final thread called "how can someone with a vagina be such a huge dick" and I was banned. Anarchy soon followed.

I wasn't out to spam the forums, just to piss off TNO cause I thought the power had gone to his head. You gotta understand times were different back then, we didn't enjoy the freedoms you GRians have here today! Threads like these would've been closed ASAP and if you didn't like it well you can just GIT OUT! Back then I had to walk 50 miles in the snow just to get to a computer and visit GR! Up hill!! BOTH WAYS!

Oh definitely. Hell, I was like 14 when it all happened and even I could see how bad it was.

All the shitty moderating and holier than thou attitude, arrogance and whatnot, poor micromanaging of the boards, Dark_Legacy, and a whole bunch of shit that I'm too tired to recall. Shit left its mark for like three years after it happened. Hell, the one good thing Maca did was provide a much needed counterbalance to TNO's faggot tree.

Man, sometimes I wish I was born, like, two years earlier so I would've been able to be more active and shit during the crazy years of GR. Also so I could gamble in Vegas this summer, and not just Injin Casinos.

GR is a small community, and we hang out here because we all know each other to a certain extent. While I do talk about gaming once in a while, that's not the main reason why I come here. And TNO just didn't understand that and would close any threads that went off topic.

I remember that God awful April fool's day prank he pulled where he apparently was stripped of his mod powers and nobody was modding the place. None of us bought it because it was April Fools Day so he continued to keep it up. Then pretty soon we started to believe it and a week later he'd say APRIL FOOLS!!!

Anyways, good to see our mods nowadays do their jobs right. Battling evil ad-bots, destroying the occasion random user who tries to flood the forum and dealing with users who have mental breakdowns like Mr. Himashi. I don't even remember what that drama was all about, just that he got mad at someone so he started posting sick and nasty pictures, 2 girls 1 cup type stuff. :x

The way I see it, MattAY is the James Bond to my Felix Leiter. And that's not just because he's British. If you read the books, 9 times out of 10 Felix has had a successful sting operation going on for MONTHS, and it's only because of him that Bond is able to do a damn thing. Plus, Felix is a better shot than Bond. And all that good stuff.
