I dont see how beast is useless, he does have an IQ that surpasses most heroes, hes strong, athletic, and a nice guy to boot!

That, plus he is also a pillar for the X-Men's main theme, people being afraid of whats different. Beast is different from most X-men, as he can't hide his powers. Which is why he is always self concious and somewhat shy. I personally think hes a great hero, and should win this quarter final match.
