Streaming

Well, it's not noticeable much in the Battlefield Hardline trailer, because the cinematic scenes were around 30FPS. The gameplay parts were the noticeable.

Seriously, Urban? How many times do I have to show you guys this. It's quite annoying knowing people claim they cannot see the differences. Here is video of Trials Fusion I made and exported to YouTube.

Here is the same exact video, but on Ustream. Ustream doesn't officially support 60FPS, but you can stream it.

Now tell me, is that not smoother than YouTube's 30FPS

Sorry to say but I don't see the difference between those two either Howie!

PS - that ball definitely didn't cross the finish line ;)

You really can't see the differences? Something about your setup sucks. Did you see the differences in the YouTube video, the link Urban posted? Look at the regular version and then scale it to 1080p like it mentioned in the article. Some reason YouTube only has it set for 1080p/60FPS and whatever downscale is 30fps. Make sure you fullscreen it, because of that reason. Go to the 40 second mark and watch how smoother it looks with 60FPS.

I can't believe you two can't see the differences.

I can see the difference clear as day. Tattay is right about the ball, though, and the Oprah gif Urban used would have been hilarious if there really wasn't a noticeable difference, which there is.

Nope, I just put your two vids side-by-side. And to be honest, I really couldn't give that much of a shit - 30fps doesn't ruin something for me anyway.

I just think Trials doesn't show off the difference in frame rate well. It matters more in a game where you are moving the camera around a lot.

The quality difference is in the platform - I don't understand how the servers are engineered (it may as well be magic to me), but I'm sure how the videos are compressed when captured vs. uploaded plays a role in that.

60fps exists so on some level it matters, and isn't entirely a marketing tool used on people to sell newer features.. I'm saying, when it translates to my eyes from the player, theres no difference.

Streaming some MK8 right now I guess, but I'm awful at it, and I'm just going through the whole thing starting at 50cc, so. :p

I'm sure De-Ting will agree with me when I say this. I can still see how smoother it is on the right side. While 30FPS is fine to play in, I'm just saying 60FPS is smoother and I enjoy it more.

Did you make a green screen? I found a cheap way of making one, but I don't think it'll work out considering I don't have much room in my apartment.

More than you need space, you need lighting. Plus you have room based on the sofa/wall backdrop I see in your screen
