JEEEEZZZ 350 a month. man im moving there! whats the rate for krones to dollars? and is this calculation in krones or dollars?
Actually the Danish Krone (there are more than one Krone) is getting beaten because of the finacial crisis, so we are considering changing to Euro (our economy is already fixated on the Euro).
Before the finacial crisis there went 4.8 DKR pr. 1 USD, now it is 5.7 DKR pr. 1 USD, I have calculated all the things in my post to USD from DKR.
My apartment is actually not a special student one (which you can apply for if you're a student, and they are even cheaper).
The apartment has 3 rooms (we actually signed up for 4 rooms, but the waiting list was about 1½ years for those).
It is 77 square meter (~829 square foot)
The kitchen is almost brand new (a few years old).
We took it over from an old lady that had not lived there for the past 1½ year, because her health did not allowed it, and she was eventually put on a home.
The entire apartment was painted before we moved in (not on our cost).
We had 14 days before we moved in, to report anything that was broken, and needed repairing.
And we had to call in an electrician (which we did not pay for either).
This is not some sort of project building, not govern own. Private owned.
The offices for those that own this place is, is about a mile away.
I found a translation of what it is called: housing association
A company that deals with lending out houses and apartments.
The front of where I live.
How the general area looks like
Where I used to live. (about 2 miles east from my current place)
The entire city where I live. (Which is less than a mile from the 5th Largest city in Denmark)
Which is across the bridge
Aalborg, and Nørresundby if you're interrested in place names
