MGS Film

^Agreed. Anyone but Mila Jovovich playing Meryl would be good. I'm tired of seeing her in movies.

Who would your ideal Solid Snake, Meryl, and Otacon be?

I didn't know so many people actually enjoyed David Hayter's snake voice. It's one of the most contrived in all of voice acting. Doubt I would watch a two hour film with a guy talking all tough through his teeth like he's some kind of badass.

I can do a dead-on Snake impression, btw.

It's not that I enjoy David Hayter's voice as Snake but at this point in the series any other voice would simply sound wrong. David Hayter is Snake and that's the issue I would face if anyone else tried to voice him.

Fair point, I guess. But I think almost anyone could do Snake's character more justice.

And we've been able to deal with actor switches in popular roles before.

There's a fake picture of Eric Bana (Troy, Hulk)picture and he look way cool

I feel the same about Mila but regarding action films...she a good looking girl although Jill Valentine took the RE2 movie...

I agree. It's interesting because if you go back and play MGS1, surely one of the best games ever made, Snake's voice is completely normal. He also had a totally different, much younger and cooler look that I liked. But since MGS2, they decided to change everything about MGS. Snake grew a beard, a weird mullet and obviously got older so Hayter had to come up with a totally different voice, But sadly, each sentence sounded like he was in pain and therefore it got painful to listen to... That's when MGS series turned into some kind of self parody, soap-opera mess.

But as a person, Hayter seems to be a very intelligent and nice guy. I've seen some of his interviews and they are always very interesting to watch.

Wait, so they took out the 20 minutes of gameplay and are selling it on DVD?

sry, it can't be helped. :p

Jesus Christ, Wes, that was the fourth time the joke has been said and honestly it wasn't funny the first time. You get a score of -50 for that; 40 of which is for being the fourth person to post the same joke and 10 of it for probably knowing you were the fourth person and posting it anyway.

I don't mean to be a dick or anything but come on, it's been said before.

Actually, in MGS snake had long hair (a long mullet if you will) in the briefings. He only cut it as to not resemble Liquid. Besides, beards are always cool. Don't hate, dawg.

Uh-oh! MGS fanboy....

I'm not going to make a joke about it, but in earnest, I thought the games were meant to replace just watching all the spy movies, random action movies, and... Escape from New York. They were what Hideo, and apparently others, loved about the movies but in game form, so why take the game form and try to reverse the attempt? It'd feel overly contrived if they kept all the needless dialogue and themes,(which I did enjoy, but only because I could still distract people with porno mags after) and it'll be entirely hated if they make it solely a shoot-'em-up action movie.
Seriously though, if you want Snake, watch Escape from New York, the look and the voice and the name and the badassery and the guns and the cheesiness and the eyepatch and the president and the Isaac Hayes are already there.
Escape from LA... not so much, but at least it was very much a rip off and further contrivance (transgendered Pam Grier, saving the day by playing basketball) of the first one such as Metal Gear Solid 2 was in many aspects, so it can be a familiar experience to fans.

Even when I was younger I saw no fantastic potential for a film, an example of a wariness can be found even in something non-essentially essentialy like the sneaking suit, it would likely be very much a Batman experience, having muscles and bulging crotches molded in plastic rather than being natural and shaming to the common viewer for more reasons than one.

So, yeah please, suck my oddly proportioned molded plastic cock bulge, I'm without hope for this project.

Not at all but when a joke's been told I really get annoyed when someone tells it again and again and again and again, I mean sorry like I said didn't mean to be a dick but the joke was dead to begin with
