ITS ARNOLD

Really? This was so popular it's being turned into a movie?
Yes I thought it was hilarious, but I can see how this could be a movie...I won't see it because it will be the same storyline. A person was given a task, betrayed by those he works for, seeks revenge...amirite?

EDIT: Just watched the official trailer...might see it because of hot women.

I hope Arnold continues the tradition of brutally murdering somebody and then coming up with a quick one-liner to remind us all it's okay.

Now if it was actually being directed by Rodriguez, I would be excited.

Wait....What does Robert Rodriguez have to do with "The Expendables"? :P

These were just a bunch of guys Robert Rodriguez got to sign on for a trailer in the middle of Grindhouse, nobody was actually planning on making a movie out of it.

Longo, Jackie Chan hasn't done all his stunts since Shanghigh noon or whatever
Oh right. Now he just does the majority of his near death amazing martial arts stunts, since he is getting pretty old.

I thought Rodriguez was directing this but I guess that's just because I saw the trailer in Grindhouse. Still, Stallone has made some decent flicks. Rocky II, III, and so on were good, so was Rocky Balboa, so yeah

Something like that, I just remember when that movie came out he was talking about not doin as many stunts as before

That was for Machete though Longo...Which IS being directed by Rodriguez :/.

No, no it wasn't. At all. If you look closely, he was referring to my post, which was the second post in the thread. That quote came from long before Machete was even mentioned.

Right....But the cast of the Expendables had nothing to do with Grindhouse :(.

So I guess it`s Schimmel I should be correcting lol.

I thought this was going to be about Hey Arnold. Instead, it's about a mediocre action flick.

I am not excited.

It may be a mediocre action flick but what's behind it is pretty impressive. These were just a bunch of guys Robert Rodriguez got to sign on for a trailer in the middle of Grindhouse, nobody was actually planning on making a movie out of it. Now a couple years later their trailer has become so popular it actually has been turned into a flick, and even cooler is that all the big names in the original preview actually agreed to do it. Some of the biggest action egos in Hollywood are working together to make something that could potentially be hilarious. What is there to not be excited about?

Um... it sounds like you are describing Machete and not The Expendables. The Expendables had nothing to do with Grindhouse.

And Stallone wrote and Directed it and Stallone is actually a pretty solid (and Oscar winning) director.

Ok, somebody with a brain already cleared this up.

Also, Jackie Chan STILL does all his own fucking stunts when the scene calls for it. He might not shoot B-Roll, but in major choreographed fight scenes, that is Jackie. I don't know what this "Shanghai Noon" business is about, but Chan has been in movies since the 70's and every single stunt he has ever done has been by him.

Shit, he broke his foot doing Rumble in the Bronx and finished the movie with a boot painted like a tennis shoe!

He's done all of his own stunts, he just hasn't taken some of the risks that he did before and he takes some safety precautions now.

That's true but I think the confusion here was not Jackie performing a choreographed fight, but Jackie jumping off a bridge onto a moving truck which is a real stunt. In blockbuster movies stuntmen perform those types of stunts but Jackie always used to do them himself until he got too old. It's not his fault, he's just looking after himself and letting a younger man take the dive.

1) My friends and I are all going into this movie clean shaven and coming out with full beards it will be so manly.

2) There is no greater force in the verse than Jackie Chan in a factory that produces tables, ladders, chairs, and ropes, holding a baby, his master just died in front of him, his girlfriend is watching, alcohol just poured into his mouth and HE DOESN'T WANT ANY TROUBLE!

And then Jackie Chan came to America where he became Kidafied. God I remember his cartoon, pretty badass though I still catch it on Disney XD at 4:30 in the morning after Gargoyles
