Yeah there are a lot of good users who could pick up the mantle. Again, I don't want to be responsible for Adminning the boards. The GR community has a huge legacy, is awesome, and doesn't need staff to police itself. You guys don't need a whole lot of adminning anyways but it's more of a fill the role thing. while I have the administrators rights i don't use them... like ever.

I'd be fine with being a mod, but none of you will trust me enough with it so there's not much point in me offering, despite the fact that Dan up there would ban my ass without hesitation if i did something wrong.

Also, i'd be cool with being an admin, but honestly i think one of the current mods would be better suited if they want it.

On topic, Sam you're gonna be missed. You were fair all the times you've kicked my ass for being an idiot and never abused your power in any way, which is rare enough in admins in general, let alone of the one's from the past here on GR from what i've heard.
Hope your life goes well man, make sure to check back on here occasionally and tell us how you're going.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, it means a lot. I will come to the boards every so often, I might even find myself posting more now I don't need to worry about being an admin, who knows? I'll definitely want a say in mod affairs and have had my CO access confirmed so even though my power won't be official my opinion will hopefully be just as valued.

Chris has been nominating me as a mod for quite a while. If any of the mods do take Maca's spot (which I feel should happen), who else feels I should be at least a mod?
Also, I vote MattAY. Both I feel are equal candidates, but I like MattAY's accent than Longo dressing up as a girl. Oh, cheers to you maca. :toast:

Since i was joking earlier, just want to seriously say that Sam was the best. He helped me immensely when I was starting out as a moderator and later as admin. His working relationship with the staff was unprecedented for a user-admin, and his contribution will be missed. See you around, bud.

No one. Yet.

Honestly, what does this really change? Maca goes from being here hardly ever to being here never. If either me or Mattay becomes Admin, the only difference between then and now is that we'd be able to take care of things on our own. Really, we do everything already, since there isn't that much that needs to be done. This place is slow, and really doesn't need hard moderation.

If we suddenly get 10 more active users on the forums, then maybe, MAYBE we'll need one more mod. But now, nah. Eyes and ears are good enough. Between me and Mattay, nothing'll stay on for more than an hour, especially now that I'm back.

As for who that moderator would be? That information is locked away safely in Covert Ops. In the communal safe. Next to the condoms.

I'll say it right now - Asking for it won't get you it. When we feel we need a mod or another admin, we'll figure out who the best person is and bestow the hard, time consuming responsibility of managing a high traffic gaming forum onto them.
