who is the absolute worst?

Who in pop culture can you just not stand?

For me it's Kanye West with Miley Cyrus in a very close second. I am so sick of Kanye's ego and contradictory rants. He thinks he is God's gift to humanity well I wish he would take a long hiatus from the spotlight. Long as in forever.

And Miley Cyrus is so fucking annoying. First of all she is not attractive, she honestly looks like a boy, and I'm not trying to be insulting I'm dead serious. Second I don't get the whole tounge thing, it does not make her look hardcore, it makes her look like an idiot. And what is with the twerking? Is she trying to rebel? Rebel from what? Being a rich spoiled brat whose father raised her like a princess because he too performed shitty music?

There's a few celebrities I can't really stand.

-Kanye West is definitely the worst. Like Wes has already said, I'm really tired of his narcissism and just how full of himself he is. Calling himself the "Rap God", a "Rock Star" and as Wes said, basically thinks he is God's gift to the human race and that he's some sort of supernatural genius. Unfortunately I read something on Facebook about him going on about how it's so hard to raise a child in the "celebrity world". My God.

-Kim Kardashian, the woman famous for... well, having a rich family and then being in a sex tape. I just think it's insane that she has thousands, if not millions of young fans who all adore her simply because she's rich, famous and attractive. She doesn't do anything. Her and Kayne are a sign of the apocalypse.

-Miley Cyrus is another annoying one. I don't get the whole tongue thing either, and the twerking thing is really stupid. She goes on all "Oh this is who I really am" etc. So... she's trying to look like some kinda rebel or whatever. To me she more or less looks like an idiot.

-Justin Bieber, I'm very surprised no one has mentioned him yet. Getting himself into all sorts of stupid crap. I just can't believe the amount of stupid things he does and yet his fans still love him. That worries me about the youth actually. Little arrogant wanker. To be fair, a lot of people blame his attitude on his upbringing, e.g. being bought into the spot light and being rich and famous from an early age. I can see how it would go to his head, but that doesn't justify him being a little shit.

-One Direction is pretty much the same as Justin Bieber, except there's a group of 'em.

-Kyle Sandilands is an Australian radio talk show host and a horrible human being. He's a very disrespectful and rude indiviadual but I guess that's why he's on radio. Controversy creates attention, which then creates listeners and viewers.

Kanye is talented, but needs to be humbled badly. His ego's bigger than his messed up cheeks.

I mostly don't care about celebrities, though. Just the people who go crazy for them. They're worse than the celebrities.

There are people I certainly don't care for or might not like too much, but there aren't any that I hate. Hate is a feeling I try to reserve for bad people who do bad things.

All these pop culture personalities you are mentioning are putting on a show, not totally unlike WWE wrestlers.

Pop culture is so over saturated now that these people needed to develop over the top ways to stand out amongst the crowd and get your attention. The fastest and easiest way to do that is to be loud, controversial, or weird, or any combination thereof. And it's not like this is a new phenomenon. It's just a lot more prevalent now due to social media and more and more people.

It's a simple case of supply and demand. The media creates and puts these people out there for mass consumption and the general public eats it up with a spoon. Your disdain should be towards that mass audience because they are the ones keeping these people going.

I think it's far more interesting to look at the larger machine that is the pop industry that manages to continue to create these personalities and churn them out like clockwork than it is the individuals, who usually have a shelf life of 5 years, maybe 10 if they are lucky, before they are replaced with a newer model in a shinier, newer package.

Also, it should be noted that the whole thing is a self feeding machine. These pop personalities and the media form the perfect symbiotic parasitic relationship. They need someone to talk about them and the media need someone to talk about since gossip has always been more popular than actual news, so they basically just feed off each other.

That link about Kanye is a perfect example. Kanye needs people to talk about him because keeping his name out there makes him money. So he behaves in predictably outlandish ways. That website wants traffic so they create an article out of Kanye's crazy antics. And by reading that article and linking it to others to read, you are giving them both want they want/need. It's pretty interesting to watch the system in action.

If we're throwing politicians into the fray, then I'm gonna throw down Tony Abbott, Australia's new prime minister.

That's one good thing about getting older, you disassociate yourself with pop music. When I was a teenager I was very much into MuchMusic (Canadian MTV) and was therefore succumbed to heart throb boy bands and slutty pop stars.

The likes of N'Sync, Britney Spears, and all that pop rap that I've forgotten about. I used to hate it so much. But now that I'm older and don't watch MuchMusic or MTV (now that it's in Canada) I don't give a crap about these shallow, materialistic, talent-less children who refuse to grow up.

It's a different time then it was 10 years ago and one could argue the internet has replaced MTV. I know if it wasn't for the internet I never would have heard of Justin Beiber, or Nicki Minaj, or Miley Cyrus. So I guess in a way I'm still in the loop, but I don't seek out these artists online and therefore ignorance is bliss.

But when it comes to movies.....
-Michael Bay
Bayformers... Someone stop this man before he does a Pokemon movie with Shia Labeouf as Ash and Megan Fox as Misty.

-Paul W.S. Anderson
Someone stop this man before he makes a Last of Us movie staring Mila Jovovich as a female lead who has no connection to the game at all.

-M. Night Sham a lama Dingdong
I see dead careers.

-Roland Emmerich
The guy who takes disaster movies literally. See what I did there?

-Whoever keeps making these Epic Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, etc.
Stop. For the love of God.

-Adam Sandler
Oh how the mighty have fallen. If you had told me Adam Sandler made this list in the 90's I would say you are on crack. But after Grown Ups, That's My Boy, Jack and Jill, Grown Ups 2 and Blended I feel like his role in Funny People was actually an autobiography.

-Will Smith's kid
Now this is the story all about Will Smith's career got flipped upside down. Now if you take a moment just sit right there, I'll tell you all about how Jayden got Will nowhere.

I agree to pretty much your whole list, WickedLiquid.

It's such a shame about Adam Sandler. I loved him in movies like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and Little Nicky.

All I'm doing is backing up why I hate him with a link that supports my argument. I don't care if I'm giving the website the traffic it wants. It's just a site where I can pull a bunch of examples to how big a douche he is.

As for forcing this behavior on the public for face time, yeah I can agree with with that, which is more reason I hate the guy. But as we all know, these desperate attempts at attention can only last for so long before they fade into obscurity. And while I might be "feeding the troll" I'm not giving him any money out of my wallet. I can't be responsible for all the dumbasses out there who buy into his shit, I can only speak for myself.

Yeah, Adam Sandler was in his prime in the 90's it is indeed a shame. I didn't actually like Little Nicky but to each their own. I liked Mr. Deeds and people tell me that movie sucks so whatever lol.

The truly tragic thing about Sandler is he has so much potential. If you've ever seen Punch Drunk Love, Reign over Me or Spanglish you'll see he has so much range as a dramatic actor. And for the past 5 years he just blows his talent on awful comedy movies that for some reason make a ka-jillion dollars.

I think the reason I liked Little Nicky is because I saw it when it first came out to the cinema and I was quite young. I was either twelve years old or I had just turned thirteen. At the time I thought it was absolutely hilarious, so I have fond memories of it.

Not to try to go too far off topic, but personally, I never found Sandler funny. His whole bit was just making stupid faces and voices. He had other people in his movies that actually were funny but he and the movies themselves were terrible. His "comedy" is basically Nelson from the Simpsons, "Look, that person is (disabled/fat/foreign/ugly) roundly mock and laugh at them!" It's bully comedy for frat boys.

I could go on and on, but I think these guys summed up the man way better than I ever could:

Who in Pop culture can I not stand...

I would've said I didn't follow pop culture closely enough for this to be an issue and totally would've been that guy, but then I remembered Ricky Gervais.
His material is closer to Dane Cook than Jerry Seinfeld, he has no business rubbing elbows with Louis C.K. or Chris Rock (Rock, who's also lost a step). His caliber of comedy has been unjustly praised, because he's English and oh lord, do we need another funny Englishman in Hollywood, and two, because of the American Office, which I guess he gets credit for....? the fuck? I don't see how their performance = his, but w/e

Having said that, he's a great producer. But his on-screen and stand up is absolute garbage.

Anything that comes out of Paris Hilton's mouth. I dont even follow her twitter and yet at 11:11 everyday she feels the need to go "Make a wish TEEHEE!" Fucking christ.
She has no acting talent, she looks like she sucked on a lemon for about 4 years - not Renee Zellweger level, but still up there. She's a dj now I think, probably not a good one so we'll wait for her to fail yet another career branch. She is just a whorebag who got famous via a sex tape - and not even a good one! Have you seen the Paris Hilton tape?! It's so FUCKING BORING!!

Onto my next one - no one in particular, but just whoever caused all girls in the world to pout like an utter trout. JUST STOP IT, and focus all mouth pouting energy into finding your straight jacket, you mongs.

Are you talking about making babies? It's upsetting in my area. 95-97 % of my HS class has had a baby already. There are many 16 year olds with babies in my area as well. I see people carrying babies onto bus like their grocery bags. It's sad.
