Yeah I read the RE books, Last I seen Barry was when he saved jill and that other dude in RE 3.

Also in the first RE Wesker clearly dies but somehow he survived just in time to become invincible.

And at the end of Silent Hill, the scene from the beginning where Harry and his wife find Cheryl as a baby is replaced with Harry and Cybil. I never really got that.
