I got my HWL shoulders yesterday, and I'm halfway to my gloves or boots. I need 90 AV tokens total though... and since I'm Horde, that's gonna SUCK.

So wit the new PvP patch I'm trying for the GM claymore but it's hard with such a busy work schedule. I only have 26k honour right now.

I'm working on my fourth 60. As it stands my character roster:

2x60 human paladins
60 night elf hunter
34 Orc warrior
31 human warrior
10 human rogue
15 undead rogue

Only the one paladin is epic'd out. I never really play my other 60s very often.

Ugh, left my computer at my apartment and have to use a laptop till TBC...if Stratholme gives one frame per 2 secs, how will MC go?

Anywho, current character bragging sheet:
60 human paladin
60 human priest
60 dwarf warrior (why the hell did I choose a dwarf? oh yeah, the stamina)
60 human warlock
49 undead mage
and loads of alts undel lvl 20 just waiting to give their spaces to a blood elf

I'm finding it hard to raid now, i find it incredibly futile with the impending expansion pack.

QFT.

And wqith the new honour system, scrubs who don't know much about the game can outgear me in many respects. I mean, a scrub getting full Marshal gear and GM weapons > a raider with t2 and an USF.

Scrubs ):.

I stopped playing earlier this year but my friend told me the new update makes PVP ranks much easier to attain. how did they change it?

They deleted PvP ranks all together. The gear is now bought from the same vendor as before from honor points and marks of honor. As an example, 2h rank 14 weapons now cost 44500 honor points and 40 Alterac Valley mark of honor.
So all together, the gear is easier to get.

I hate PvP gear, it is the devil...

My server is 4 months old.. so the furthest aany guilds are is the first couple bosses in BWL, only one has even downed Onyxia...

But near every 60 now is runnin around in full epic PvP shit, making raiding near pointless, but I do it anyway..

I refuse to spend countless bored hours in PvP to have the same shit everyone else has, and not have to do anything challenging or exciting to obtain it. A good example of Blizz managing to fuck up something that is near perfect... not equal at all....

0.5 upgrade is 500x harder than getting full Epic PvP, yet PvP gear > 0.5... wheres the balance Blizz..

I'll stick to workin on my T1 in MC... Fuck PvP and anyone who wears the gear...

PvP is more fun than doing the same boring old encounters endless times though and not getting anything guaranteed from it.

i hardly find em boring... but then again i'm a new player on a new server.. we're only gettin into BWL as the third most advance guild on the server.. and the most advanced is only about 2 bosses ahead of us... so maybe if i'd been playing for a year or two itd be different... but i can't see myself ever enjoying pvp..

Raiding becomes incredibly boring after a while. Pvping is very fun though, especially if you're good. I usually top the charts in killing blows so naturally i enjoy it.

i could imagine it would..

but i guess i started playin at a good time... prob a bit into BWl by the time the expansion comes out... so fresh new content and no boredom for another 4-5 months probly... seeing as 60-61 is 415000 xp... take as long as 1-60 did to get 60-70

edit : not playin 24/7-365 helps to :)

just fuckin around with a second char... fun makin a new char and easily dropping 500 gold in its bank with enough left over to buy ur epic mount on your 60 ... makes the second char a lot more fun....

new char is gnome rogue... good times..

I keep on getting this error where it says "Invalid target" and it won't allow me to attack the target. It's getting incredibly annoying.

The only raids I really like are ZG and world bosses, other than that I'd much rather pvp.

im not a big fan of ZG, MC i find fun though...

so far our guild has only downed Onyxia, we're now on Domo in MC, and Hakkar in ZG.... Second most advanced guild on the server... but transfwers just opened so thatll change soon :(

Does no one else understand why Blizz has opened PvP gear to everyone? Most of the zones in TBC have some world PvP element that is actually important to the game... unlike the current world PvP in EPL and Silithus (yawn). And, since most PvE folk are laughably bad at PvP (I've been doing PvP almost exclusively for the last year... I can tell), Blizzard is encouraging people to get better at PvP play by giving out easy rewards for it. Think of it as the prep for TBC's large-scale PvP.

Sounds like a lot has changed since I last logged in (A month or two ago?) My 60 warlock with 2.5 is collecting dust, lol. Quitting as far as I know, I just got bored with it, which is surprising. The expansion kept me hyped but after a while I just didn't really care for it. Perhaps later I'll play again..
