In keeping with tradition, I have another semi-obscure game for you all..
Ok, not really.
Basically Sega's answer to Mortal Kombat on the consoles, before it was ported. Eternal Champions had many hidden gems, ultra kill and arena kill combos, and a pretty detailed character roster for it's time, complete with full backstories (something lacking from most fighting games in the era.)
Sadly, Eternal Champions had control issues, especially on the Genesis. Most of these issues were fixed on the Sega CD and it's sequel....but who played that? Hopefully the game makes some sort of modern return, until then, we can look on lovingly......
