The ESRB is dead.

    Sure games don't have content removed very often, but he was talking about the pressure from the ESRB preventing developers from making the game as graphic as they want. The ESRB prevents companies from putting that type of content in their games in the first place. Just the idea of getting the feared "Adults Only" rating smacked on the cover of their game is enough to make developers think twice before including the puppy-decapitation minigame .
