Oh, this is Project Dark? Awesome. First day buy for me.
I'm disappointed that there's no world/character tendency, but oh well. Also: "The game does not share the same world and story as Demon's Souls." BOOOO! Boletaria is awesome!

why isn't it happening? I know the Japanese have been stuck in a stimulus driven economic downturn for two decades now, but when you make a successful game the obvious thing to do is make a sequel and make more money. Instead they're going to close down DS1 in october and do nothing to capitalize on the success?

It's not happening because it seems they're making Dark Souls instead. And From Software is small and not super reliable at making direct sequels.
