You don't need to apologize, but know that the mods and admins are doing everything they can to stim the tide of spam, including switching from outright deletion to bans, both user and IP.

Yup, I'm banning IPs and email addys of every spammer, along with deleting them outright afterwards. It's certainly slowing down, we cant work whilst we sleep unfortunately
