I know PC gaming is more affordable than most people realize but I've never liked how if my PC's specs were off by a bit the game would be too slow to function to be enjoyable. I wish I had a hardcore gaming rig because PC gaming has the best library (including awesome mods that could be stand alone games).

Went home for the weekend and play a bit of my brother's PS3, did a little scrimmaging in Killzone 3 and Infamous 2. I wish my brother owned a Uncharted game

When it comes to RTS and a.i. I always found Dawn of War a.i. to be challenging..... Or at least for me, here am I trying to building my massive army and apparently all 3 a.i. armies decide to form an alliance and destroy all my military base might while raping & pillaging the women....... Or maybe I just sucked at Dawn of War

I was inside playing games for far too much of what was a nice Saturday home alone. But anyway, I finished The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Well now I'm a little worried. My secondary card in my SLI setting is all of a sudden running 10C higher than the primary card when playing the Witcher 2. I think the fan may not be running at full speed. I really don't want to have to pop the cards out to clean them, but I may not have a choice at this point. Ugh.

*EDIT*

I disassembled one of the GPUs from my laptop. There was a good solid chunk of dust clinging to the heat sink, basically keeping any air from moving through it. Removing it dropped 30C off of the temps with the Witcher 2 running. I couldn't do the other one because a screw I needed to remove was slightly stripped at the head and none of my screwdrivers fit it very well. It'll have to wait until I get home to be removed. If that doesn't work, I'll have some compressed air there to try instead.

This probably means I'll be able to run the graphics on a much higher setting. Yay!

What'd you think?

The ballad of Gay Tony was awesome. Carlos was a super murderer who told it like it was. My favorite part is when he just threw that guy off the roof. And I loved going on "rampage mode" Get 6 stars then try to lose them. Cheat codes allowed, when you die pass to your roommate." Had a lot of heat moments.

Just finished my Hard run. Noone left behind! Red-eyed FemShep Sentinel is ready for ME3! Going to take some time and keep playing P3.

Laptop gaming problems *shudders*

Been there, will never do that again if I can avoid it.

lol. Never really had any problems until now. I guess this is what I get for not cleaning it in 3 years.

Back on topic though, now that I've figured out the combat, the Witcher 2 is a really fun game. Really fun. Still haven't figured out the potion system that well, but I'm getting there.

yea it's definitely more complicated than your average game. but it's excellent.

it pushes a PC harder than i think any game I've played. if anything is gonna find instability in my system, it seems to be the witcher 2.

Hey there you lovely people! just turned on my playstation to see that no one worth playing with is currently online. . . . so if any of you guys are reading this and fancy a quick sesh on the playstation add me (PSN is Dolive90) and come join me! ill probably be on BF3 but have a whole load of other games, mainly shooters, that i'd be up for playing with you guys! as long as you have a headset and can shoot vaguely in the right direction feel free to suggest a game or join me in whatever im playing!

The Darkness 2

Honestly, really really good. I love the cell shaded visuals and all of that. I am missing the dynamic that Jackie and the Darkness had in the first game that isn't as present, and the gameplay is a little different, but whatever.

I get the feeling I'm almost done, though. Ah well, at least they don't have the WWI Hell parts from the first game.

Aaaaand I beat it.

Very good game, but a bit too shallow/short. I would've loved it if it had built more off of the original and offered more of an open, freeworldy type of game. But whatever.

Fixed my other gpu, so my laptop is running super cool now. Time to bump up the graphics for the Witcher 2. Really loving the game so far. It will be nice to be able to go back to some HD textures though.

I think I'm almost done with the first chapter in Flotsam. Great story line so far. I've figured out the combat to the point that I'm competent, which makes the game a lot more enjoyable too. I just wish I could carry more weight.

And I'm just now starting Witcher 2. I would've gotten it on PC, like Witcher 1, but my PC can't run it. So I got the 360 version, so I can share it with my friends too.
