They are gear dependant yes, but I just find that the game as a whole isn't very skill based.

I do have access to a rogue...My friend has a level 60 rogue..He said I can use his acount, transfer his rogue from his pvp server to my roleplay one. I might do it to piss off the "carebears" who make forum topics because someone of opposing faction "/spit" on them and insulted their "honour" by ganking their quest givers and mount vendor repeatedly.

I lead a sad, sad life.

I think the game is very skill based... and I disagree with the thing you said about being gear dependant. For instance.. I have a 60 warrior at the time I had mostly blues from end game instances. not MC or BWL.. and a few greens.. I dueled a warrior that had the Marshal gear a few epics from MC.. and the PvP items etc... and I absolutley fucking destroyed him in 2 duels. therefore.. skill has a lot to do with the game.

Sure, some aspects might involve skill, warrior duels usually do I find. I was able to take out a paladin on my warrior who was slightly better geared than myself and he used a potion, lay on hands, three heals. owever the majority of the time it is gear based if anything. I've played the game since launch and I can safely say my mind will not really change on the matter. Look at warlocks, that isn't skill based. Granted some classes will only win at pvp if played properly, but that's due to class balance. I think Blizzard just has a really simplistic, basic, mass appeal MMO on their hands which makes it so great and so horrible at the same time.

I can agree with what you said about a warlock.. once you do learn how to play them they are extremely good at pwning almost any class in a 1v1 fight. corruption, curse of agony, immolate, conflag, death coil, searing pain, searing pain, searing pain, fear, searing pain... works every time on the heavy fire build I have on mine.

The flawed aspects which I can find in WoW are the community (way too guild based, meaning anyone who doesn't want to choke on guildmaster cock is stuck with pre-MC gear) and the economy. I feel that even miniscule MMORPGs implement some better form of economy system outside of the perpetual prices of WoW. I'm equally disgusted with gold buyers but that's self explanitory. I'm just moody because I grinded IF rep for over a year to get a ram and some knob with a credit card can have an asian do it for him.

And let's not forget the limited depth compared to MMO's such as SWG, EQ2 and EQ or even E.V.E online, the fact that Blizzard customer service is pretty crappy, as is their in game moderating team, the community is one of the worst I've seen in an MMO, the fact there's hardly any content outside of 40 man raids once you hit 60, most classes a monkey can play and the fact they seem to disregard their lore.

Horde getting paladins? Alliance getting Shaman? What the fook?

Agreed. It seems to me that Blizzard is turning the two factions into - essentially - twice the same thing... one side just "meaner". Warcraft 2 anyone?

I don't know how the expansion will play out, but it largely feels like the Blizzard team is just giving in to every single fancy of the players, whether it makes sense or not. Now that the two play styles will be much closer to one another (Alliance gets totems, Horde gets... well... whatever the hell it is Paladins do), the only difference will be if you want to be ugly or pretty. Wait... looks like they fixed that too. Flip a coin... the two sides are practically the same now.

Does making paladins both factions and shamans both factions kind of ruin a certain element of the game? I think its a bad idea.. and they shouldn't do it

That's what I'm saying. This whole thing feels like WC2 all over again - two supposedly "distinct" sides that play exactly the same way.

I'm in the process of levelling up my priest alt but I'm in a rut as I no longer have any drive whatsoever to proceed. Perhaps it's the eventual termination of my account, or the limited time in which I can play but I have lost all urge to play both my level 60 warrior, or level 20 priest. Any suggestions?

So...

..I got bored and went back to this shitty game.

Of course my guild now has a new rule that those with a fifty percent raid attendance over six weeks have priority. With someone like myself who works during raid hours often, and was away for three weeks that will be tough to maintain.

Anyways...I still hate this game!

So we did Onyxia tonight. This is probably my twentieth Onyxia run? I don't know.

Anyways...I lost the roll on her head. Again. I rlled a 3. I always roll hideously low on that damn thing. I'm getting annoyed. I really should have just grabbed Eshkander's Collar, but the Onyxia Tooth Talisman is much better.
