Congrats to SAGAT for winning the Street Fighter Seasonal! Congrats to CAMMY as well for the runner up spot...which will come in handy later.......
He is our first automatic bid in the next Showdown.
As time goes on, more names will be added to this list. But for now, lets begin our second seasonal, this time with something a wee bit more obscure.
I introduce to you, RED EARTH.
I think a pattern will be obvious followed by obscure each time, just to keep things fresh. Red Earth is an arcade only game in Japan, that was never released in the U.S for really unknown reasons. Some of the characters, such as the title character, have been featured in games like Capcom Fighting Evolution though, so if your a connisour of fighting games you might recognize them.
This game was different because it had 12 characters, with only four of them playable at all times. The other eight were boss characters that you can fight with three friends in a quest mode. Needless to say that is pretty nifty.
Because some of the bosses have been featured as playable characters before, they all are eligible to be picked. Because their is only twelve fighters in the game, only eight of them will participate in the showdown. I am giving the four playables, TESSA, LEO, KENJI and MAI LING a pass on this one.
