For anyone who was commenting on my survival plan (which I have thought about in the past), yes the low windows are trouble--which is why I would board them up. The thing about those kinds of houses is that half of the downstairs is actually underground (you look out the windows and the ground is at neck level, more or less). Board up those windows and its pretty much an underground bunker.
Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, that's not my actual house, that's just the style of house I live in.
