Borrowing games

Lets call it an exchange... If they want one of mine then they bring me one of their's. Its worked great. I've ended up with Nier, Dragon Age Origins and Resident Evil 5. In exchange for Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2.

Exception: My best friend (s) Usually just walk out with what they want and bring it back later. The three of us handle our collective shat correct...

Like the saying goes, man calls his wife's 5 best friends and ask if she stayed there last night. All 5 deny it. Wife calls man's best friends and asks same question and as a matter of fact he did stay there all last night and 2 of them said he was still sleeping...

I personally borrow games occasionally and let close friends borrow mine, but only if I trust them to take care of them. Since accidents happen, like scratches or lost games, 51 game app, it’s normal to be cautious. Lending is fine, but it’s smart to be selective and make sure the borrower handles the game carefully.

Do you borrow games from friends and family? How about do they borrow games from you? Anyways, I've been weary about anyone borrowing my games. Sometimes they turn up "missing" and other times they scratch the hell out of my games. I'm the kind of guy that takes care of his games. I make sure whenever I'm done playing my game, I put it back in it's original case gently. So, it's okay for me to borrow games.

This topic originated, because I lend one of my bros Halo: Reach. After 7 months (I keep track how long with MS Word), I wanted to play it. Looks like I was wrong. They ended up having it sit on a chair somewhere and someone accidentally sat on it. Since I no longer live with my brothers, I noticed my games still look like new after several months. Again, do you fellas borrow games? Do you guys let others borrow your games?
I completely understand where you’re coming from, and honestly, that frustration is totally justified. When you put time, money, and care into something—especially games you value—it hurts when others don’t treat them with the same respect. The Halo: Reach situation would’ve annoyed me too, especially after waiting months to play it again and finding out it was just left out and damaged. That’s not just an accident; it’s carelessness.

I used to lend games more freely, but experiences like yours quickly changed that. Not everyone understands that putting a disc back in its case or keeping it safe isn’t “extra,” it’s basic respect. Like you said, when you’re the one taking care of your collection, it makes sense that you feel more comfortable borrowing than lending.

These days, I’m much more selective—only lending to people I trust to treat my games the same way I do, or not lending at all. It doesn’t make you selfish; it just means you value your stuff. At the end of the day, if someone can’t respect your property, they don’t really deserve to borrow it in the first place.

I used to lend games all the time, but stories like that cured me fast. If I buy something, I take care of it, and not everyone treats games the same way. These days I’d rather just share recommendations or play online together. Digital libraries help too hard to “sit” on a download. Stuff like Warvox makes that easy.
