What Should I Watch?

So my own list is getting short of stuff to download and watch (well not really) so what do you recommend? Movies, TV series, doesnt matter.

I've got Oz, Weeds, Breaking Bad. Any movies that are a must-see? I haven't seen a lot of movies that have come out in the past few years, what's good?

Hell, even animated stuff is all good. I got Afro Samurai, Dante's Inferno (F*CKING amazing...on shrooms), Halo Legends (very disappointing, especially the episode with the dinosaur...I DON'T want stupid sh*t like that). In the past I've seen Heavy Metal and Akira, both were good.

So come on GR, I'm going from 3 local television channels and dial-up to a wireless connection, what do I need to see?!

Why download when you can just watch stuff online without waiting.

Since we're not lucky Americans we don't get Hulu but there is a Canadian site for online TV
Project Free TV
There's also movies on there, but they usually suck.

A better place for online movies is
Let me.watch this

Once you learn how to battle the pop-up ads you're good to go

If you haven't seen many movies in the past few years then I'd recommend...

For violence, humor and epicness
-Zombieland
-Kick Ass
-Inglorious Basterds

For clever indie flicks with a sci-fi feel
-Moon
-A Scanner Darkly
-Sunshine

For guaranteed LOLZ
-Anchorman
-40 Year old Virgin
-Superbad

For the kid in all of us
-Bolt
-Up

For movies that win awards and stuff
-The Hurt Locket
-The Departed
-No country for old men

That's what I can think up off the top of my head, happy watching!

Its The Hurt Locker btw, not locket.

And i disagree to Bolt, your better of watching Shrek or Rattatouile. Zombieland and Inglorious Bastards are however, awesome.

For tv shows, i like How i met your mother, Big Bang Theory and The Office to name a few. Summer Heights High is an Australian paraody which is extrememly funny also.

30 Rock is my current favorite TV show. It's smart and zany. Watch the first 3 seasons of Weeds. Don't bother with 4 or 5. How about The Wire? It's one of those shows I never hear anything bad about and I am determined to finally see one of these days. You like Adult Swim? You may enjoy The Boondocks and/or The Venture Brothers.

Some good movies that came out in the last couple years that haven't been mentioned that I really liked:
-WALL-E (I can make a strong case for this being the best movie of the decade)
-Up in the Air (It was really good, what can I say?)
-Fantastic Mr. Fox (Pure whimsy)
-Where the Wild Things Are (ditto)
-Children of Men (The best sci-fi/action movie since...what, Jurassic Park? Aliens?)
-District 9 (The best sci-fi action movie since...what, Children of Men?)
-Little Miss Sunshine (Pure lulz)
-Mongol (A historically accurate Russian movie about the early life of Genghis Khan.)

tv series: Spartacus, blood and sand
Dexter
Breaking bad

Movies: Shutter island
Law abiding citizen
Where the wild things are
Old boy
Poughkeepsie Tapes

Porn?

But porn of the same actress.

Gianna Michaels for the big naturals.

Hope you started watching The Boondocks (GiftedMonkey beat me to it), as the third season is underway.

And because I love this one: Toradora!
Start watching it immediately.

I just rented Kings off netflix, and so far it's.....well.....

It's good, kind of like most alternate fantasy shows out there, but it's really shoving it's subject matter down your throat too much at times, most notably the parallels to the biblical tale of David. But it's worth a watch just to see Ian McShane.

WickedLiquid - Seen all but Up and Moon.

Will be looking into The Office, I love it. Possibly How I Met Your Mother as well.

Might check out 30 Rock too, I've heard or it but forget what it's about. What's Boondocks? Interested in Mongol.

Spartacus, blood and sand and Dexter piqued my interest. Poughkeepsie Tapes sounds familiar, what's that?

Ugh, I saw Avatar in 3D after smoking a hash/weed joint. Nuff said :)

What's Toradora?

Sh*t, I should download like...everything the Discovery channel has...Mythbusters, Future Weapons, all that good stuff.

Also, how are we on animated stuff? Movies or series doesn't matter, but like I said I liked stuff like Afro Samurai, Akira, Heavy Metal, etc.

I seriously recommend Samurai Champloo. Fighting is kind of clever. It's well animated, similar to Afro Samurai. Plus the main character Mugen fights in a "breakdance" style.

Plus the art is fucking awesome.

Seriously have to get back to Samurai Champloo.

Toradora is above and beyond your normal Comedy/Romance Tsundere, as it blows most of the other ones in it's genre out of the water.

Trying to explain it might make me spoil it a bit, but it's pretty much about a guy named Ryuuji Takasu who looks like a delinquent but who isn't and a small girl named Taiga Aisaka who is nicknamed "Palmtop Tiger". They each like the others friend (Minori Kushieda is Taiga's friend and Yuusaku Kitamura is Ryuuji's) and both work together to match each other up with that friend.

Just wanted to add these two:

GANTZ - Violence, check. Decapitations, check. Blood and guts, check. Attempted rape, check. Sex scenes, check. Children dying, check.
All the stuff one wants and some you probably don't.

Ouran High School Host Club - Reverse Harlem with bishie, a great cast of characters, comedy and it's good to look at.
