Ok, here are the results!
Kasumi, Kyo, Raphael, and Sagat win it!
Next match, We have 16 fighters left!
First, say hello to your final 16,
Jin (Tekken)
Nightmare (Soul Calibur)
Ayane (Dead or Alive)
Heihachi (Tekken)
Voldo (Soul Calibur)
Killik (Soul Calibur)
Christie (Dead or Alive)
Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear)
Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)
Astaroth (Soul Calibur)
Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur)
Hanzo Hattori (Samurai Showdown)
Kasumi (Dead or Alive)
Kyo Kusanagi (King of Fighters)
Raphael (Soul Calibur)
Sagat (Street Fighter)
This is the first year that Soul Calibur has dominated, with 6 combatants still in the showdown, roughly 40%.
This is also the third straight appearance for Kasumi, Kyo Kusunagi, Scorpion, and Heihachi for going so deep into the tournament. Other repeaters include semi-finalists Raphael and Hanzo Hattori from the first showdown, and Jin from last year.
Also, this is the first time Tekken characters, who made up the majority of the matchups in this showdown, are not the majority in the final rounds.
Curiously, the three final females in the showdown all come from Dead or Alive, while the rest of the characters are all male or maleish in gender.
Now, normally I would just continue with the seeds as they are, but since this is the final 16, let's have some fun with it.
I want you guys to rank the participants in order, from 1-16. The fighter with the most votes will become the number one seed, so to speak, and the one with the least votes will become the number 16 seed.
The seeds will face off in a similar fashion as the NCAA tourney, as follows
1-16
8-9
5-12
4-13
6-11
3-14
7-10
2-15
Then we go on as normal until we have a winner.
This will be open until Saturday, then we will continue, ok guys. Start picking!
