and Shun Di wins.
We move onto the final peliminary round.
We have 12 finalists left, and I thought of 20 bajillion ways to do this so we can make it even again, finally setteling on this.
The final 12 will first participate in a ranking game.
You will rank each fighter from 1-12. The TOP four will be given automatic byes to the Quarter finals, while the final 8 will slug it out in the last 4 peliminary matchups.
Then, participant 1 will face the lowest seeded participant, Participant 2 will face Participant the next lowest seeded participant, and so on in the Quarter finals. Kind of like the NCAA tourney.
And without further ado, here are the 12 contestants.
Hanzo (Samurai Showdown)
T-Hawk (Street Fighter)
Kyo (King of Fighters)
Kasumi (Dead or Alive)
M. Bison (Street Fighter)
Forrest Law (Tekken)
Guile (Street Fighter)
Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)
Raphael (Soul Calibur)
Heihachi (Tekken)
Ryu (Street Fighter)
and Shun Di (Virtua Fighter)
It is interesting to note that 1/3 of the group is from Street Fighter, 2 from Tekken, and the rest from various fighting games. I should also note that of the 12 fighters, only 1, Kasumi, is Female as well. 3 are villians, two of which (Bison and Heihachi) are typical final boss characters, the third being Raphael. One fighter (Scorpion) is an anti-hero, and two fighters (Ryu and Kyo) are the main antagoinists in their respected games. The remainder are background fighters along for the ride. This should be interesting!
So here are my rankings.
1. Scorpion
2. M. Bison
3. Kasumi
4. Hanzo
5. Ryu
6. Shun Di
7. Raphael
8. Kyo
9. Heihachi
10. Guile
11. T- Hawk
12. Forrest Law
This selection program will end on Sunday afternoon, giving us two days to do this. Happy picking!
