The Fighter Character Battle: 2011 Edition

WEll, its the final four time!

Normally I would have a banner already made, but I am crunched at the moment so let's do something different.

It has been a surprising season this year, with a lot of twists and turns that made the FCB so unpredictable. We had some early exits of old favorites, with new blood rising to the top rather quickly. We see in our final four, for the first time ever, two women making it to the end. We also see one returning finalist, now two years in a row, getting his third chance for glory...

So let's introduce the first round of the semi-finals

LILI

Lili's debut tournament has been impressive to say the least. With solid victories over favorites like Kazuya in round 2, E. Honda in round 3, and a come from behind against Shun-Di in the top 16, she has become a force to be reckoned with in this tournament. Can she continue her streak of wins against her next opponent, the sensual Sophitia?

SOPHITIA

The greek goddess from Soul Calibur has been in several tournaments over the years, but has never quite cracked the top 16 until now. Her victories against favorites like Heidern, Cammy and Chun-Li helped her case immensely, and now sits in a position many covet. Can she beat Lili, or is this where her magic ends?

And the other matchup goes as follows...

SPINAL

The sword-swinging skeleton from Killer Instinct is a dark horse in this race, but don't let that fool you. An impressive win over fan favorite Heihachi in round 3, along with the toppling of two powerful women in this tournament, Bonne Jenet and Makoto, has thrusted Spinal into a position fellow KI counterparts Sabrewulf and Fulgore have achieved. But can he break through to the finals, or will he be stopped by the venerable Vega?

VEGA

No stranger to the spotlight, Vega perhaps had the toughest road to get to this position again. His tie-breaking win against Paul Phoenix in round 2, his come from behind victory over Kano in the quarter-finals, and his impressive wins over other favorites like Liu Kang and I-NO were all just icing on the cake for this Street Fighter. Vega has made this stage for the third time now, and the only character to do so two years running. Can he make the finals again and reclaim what he once had a taste of? Or will a certain skeleton dash his hopes once more?

Let's find out. Voting for both rounds begins now.
