Streaming

To anyone that streams with the PS3 knows how great this news is. With the PS3, streamers are not able to record/live stream with HDMI due to HDCP (Google it if you don't know what it means). So, we're not able to get the full HD that it was capable of. People had to either buy HDMI>component>HDMI converters or simply use their component cable.

That was a huge concern for me, when I found out PS4 was HDMI only. I asked Shuhei Yoshida about this numerous time, but no response. Luckily today, PSLS got the coverage I hoped for.

Some 3rd party provider will probably make a component breakout cable for it eventually.

Update

Mostly geared towards Ugh
- Pick up an El Gato HD - Great quality video over USB for $150.

And in other news, You might not need it due to the fact you can stream directly from console on PS4 but Those of you getting PS4 on launch, place the links to your Ustream channels (should you chose to share with Ustream over Twitch) here - and I'll try to promote, so long as your quality isn't doggy poo

^I don't have $150 to waste. When I was shopping for HD devices last year, I was trying to be cheap. HD PVR 2 (pretty sure that's what daniel has) is what I truly wanted, but it was a similar price to the El Gato. Then I found the Roxio Game Capture Pro HD for cheap price, because at the time it was new and with a couple coupons you could lower the price to $80. The software is obviously a piece of sh*t. I don't even use the software, unless I'm switching consoles, because it'll change back to 480p. I've basically been using XSplit and luckily they're able to use the capturing device as a camera source (before they didn't). The only problems I have is most likely my laptop. If the quality of my game capturing is too high, it'll just get all chopped up. When I live stream, I just livestream 360PnHD which looks really good now.

Also, just a reminder, Shuhei Yoshida confirmed they won't have HDCP, but it'll be there for launch. What this means is you won't be able to use your capturing device until a PS4 updates (unless you have a HDMI to component to HDMI converter) PS4 won't have standard A/V cables or component cables. HDMI only was a big concern for me due to that reason I mentioned. Sure you'll be able to stream to Ustream and Twitch, but there's only so much you can do with the integrated system.

How can you stream PC games if your internet connection is terrible, Longo? I'm going to take it you got better internet now. Also, IF ANYONE HAS THE TIME, I attempted to set/create a world record in ICO (PS3) To my knowledge, I'm the first to 100% the game the fastest (meaning collecting all trophies.

I completed my attempt in 4 hours 1 minute and 19 seconds. Here is my attempt.

Dude, these are great! Next time give me a heads up before you attempt to do something like this - we'll try to promote it! Also, schedule the event into your channel in the future.
