Things have never really been all that joyous and merry down here in central Florida. There's never any snow, and not many people partake in decorating their homes. But this year it's just down right ridiculous. There's only one home on this entire street with any shred of decoration near it, it's 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside (making it feel more like early summer), and if I had just moved here from another location, I wouldn't have even know it was Christmastime. Does anyone else feel the same way I do? Does anyone else suffer from a severe lack of holiday spirit, for reasons similar to or different from my own? Does anyone but myself wish they had it back (if they ever had it at all)?

For me it doesn't have much to do with weather since I live in Minnesota, but for me atleast.. as I get older i seem to care less and less about holidays. I remember as a kid looking forward to like christmas every day months before, and now at the age of 18 I really could care less about it.. hmm

I usually enjoy the holidays, but a week ago something happened that kind of ruined it for me....

So not this year for now, im a so-so...

I'm just not feeling it all that much this year. Maybe it's the lack of snow? Or the lack of Christmas lights on our house? The lack of a significant other to spend it with? I'm not entirely sure.

Maybe it's ignorance or maybe it's apathy? I don't know and I don't care.

Seriously though...I don't know why I'm not feeling it this year.

I feel, man. This no snow shit is becoming a serious bummer. We're supposed to get some tomorrow, but I doubt it'll be serious enough to where I can go out and start pegging little kids with snowballs.

Yea... I given up on all hope of snow considering it has felt like the beginning of here for a while. I can only remember 2 days where it felt like fall, at least.

the only snow we get here in singapore is made out of ice or soap.
its all so heavily commercialised and really artifical that it is sometimes a bit sad, but when your out with friends, having a good time, and everyone else is out having fun, its all good. so yea, i still have the christmas feel.

i actually did a myspace blog related to this last week. i consider the holiday season a good time to reconnect with family. thats about it. out of simple continuity we put up a tree this year, but its been almost two weeks and we still havent had the desire to decorate it. we may just go ahead and take it down because the cats wont leave it alone and its taking up space. i used to at least like putting up lights, but i dont seem to care for that anymore either. the holidays are just getting to be another time of the year for us, with the exception of added stress.

There's no snow here. Usually in North Bay (Ontario Cananda) we have a crap load of snow for the Christmas season.

But I dunno if it's Global Warming or what not, but it's actually quite warm! Yesterday it was 5 degrees, and today it's 3! It's supposed to be way below 0 now, like -12.

So yeah, I'm not feeling Christmas at all

Before I used to be excited about Christmas and had the spirit, but now I don't except for the fact I'm getting a 360 with GoW but otherwise no spirit, probably because of me being busy with school and midterms right before break.

It hasn't been cold at all and my parents always get grouchy around xmas time, so I never much had it to begin with. plus I know what I'm getting so :\

I most defintaly still feel the holiday cheer! I have 2 younger sisters of 12 tomorrow, and 7 and Christmas is always fun with them around. Children make Christmas so so special.
