aaaaaaaaaaaaand, DOOM is pretty much free-to-play, along with almost every other game of that era.

Doomsday is okay, but there are better variants. I used Skulltag before I started playing multiplayer.
Also, a lot of DOOM mods offer split-screen play and whatnot. Just google some shit, I'm too lazy to find links.
