HDReady vs HDTV

Hey guys, It's time I got a HD set and I have some questions to ask.

1. Which is better?

2. What are the things you need for HDReady to connect a PS3?

3. Are the capabilities of the HDTV>HDReady or are they equal?

4. HDTV has a tuner box for watching programs but HDReady is purely for playing movies in HD quality. So does that mean if I don't buy the separate tuner box for HDReady, I won't get to watch cable shows on it?

I just want to play my PS3 in HD and thinking of grabbing a HDReady set which is on sale.
Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, im not too sure about cable TV, is that a subscription based programming scheme? (ED) If it is, then the company supplying you with the service should provide you some sort of box.

I'm no expert, but im pretty sure that most of the LCD/Plasmas come with an inbult tuner, that is, your TV is able to pick up High Definition broadcast.

What model are you looking to get?

Are you from America?

"In the USA, "HD Ready" refers to any display that is capable of accepting and displaying a high-definition signal at either 720p, 1080i or 1080p using a component video or digital input, and does not have a built-in HD-capable tuner."

So you still have to buy another tuner to watch normal TV in HD.
