Your artistic endeavours

Thankies. Proportions are quite easy to get the hang of if you've got a good "how to" book, and you soon get an eye for them. So, I guess, just keep at it :)

The hardest part is getting a pose that looks real, but at the same time is fluid and dynamic - that's what buggers me up most of the time. Arms have got to be the most hard to pose in any natural position because I never know what to do with them. And hands....don't get me started on hands >: -(

So do you draw yourself? It'd be pretty cool if you could post some :)

Here is my final piece of artwork for the project I am involved in with local group TEAMhealth, the four/final piece of the Sarah series.

Sarah_04.jpg

Yes, I did recycle the third piece into the fourth piece. My reason for doing so is because these artworks are going to be put in a slide show presentation for TEAMhealth to show in front of people and discuss with. They're not going to be presented as stand alone still pieces. So if it's in a slide show with transitions and whatnot, it wil almost look "animated" however I realise it must seem incredibly dodgy to look at the still pictures alone.

As I said before, the wings are supposed to represent flight. Not literal flight but like, happiness, what makes people happy, what makes them fly?

Regardless, I hope you all like it.

EDIT: http://www.gamerevolution.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8409&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 OMGOMGOMG! Used posted more artwork after I stopped viewing the thread I lovingly created! They are a testament to obscure (and hilarious) humour. View Used's pics at any cost, they are the embodiment of awesome. It also contains my foray's into digital art, but whatever... :p

Also! Nice work on that second "Sarah" piece! I especially love the detail in the back of the shirt - very nice. Much better than the first one, IMO - but both are fine examples of digital art.

Used, can you pwetty pwease post some more art? Maybe a space-faring orangutan riding on a giant nuclear warhead while using a hookah?

Haha. Nice find. That was pretty much my favorite topic ever.

Nice space monkey, used44. :D

It's been a while since I've made a comic for my hopeful "n3rdc0r3" comic strip series, but since finishing up with TEAMhealth (for now) I made one today. Here it is, I hope you all like it. :)

Budokaicopy.jpg

This is a take on the DragonBall Z Budokai games.

The story behind it is I have two friends who are always farting. Most of the time when they fart, they shout "HADOUKEN!" :p

Hey again guys.

Don't mean to be spamming this thread but tonight I was bored, and since I'm done (for now) with TEAMhealth I decided to do some free drawing.

Nathan-XVIIanime.jpg

I decided to go old school and draw a piece with a manga/anime style. The colouring however is how I normally colour (with blending and whatnot) and as for the line art, I used a different brush to try and get a paint brush feeling to it, similar to the artwork of Street Fighter IV.

This character is the main character for an original story I have that I want to try and make into a comic book/graphic novel one day. The current working title is "XVII", I hope you all like it. :)

That highlighting across his face is really unnatural. Otherwise, that's really really cool.

And the character design of that pasty guy in the Nerdcore comic makes me uncomfortable. Haha.

Yeah I wanted the lighting to just look strange and unnatural. From the top of his hand (or the "back") there is supposed to be like, a sphere looking crystal which ignites such light, but it's a bit difficult to see now that the lighting effects are there. But thanks regardless, used44. :)

and as for the pasty guy's design - it's inspired by just, well... the stereotypical fat nerd :p, with inspirations from South Park's Eric Cartman and Undergrad's Mump or whatever his name is, ha ha. :p

Good concept, UghRochester. But in my opinion, you should be a bit easier on the speech bubbles, the spelling and of course, the punch line. Punch lines generally have to be "quick" in a way, that's why they're called "punch lines". But I understood the comic and the joke was a good concept, plus I'd understand if your comic strip was a quick sketch, that's no problem at all. :p

Speaking of comics, I just made another n3rdc0r3 comic. What's this one about? Porn (not what you're thinking :p).

^Thanks, keepithowitis :). Hopefully I'll get to work and finish another comic after the gym tonight, and if so I'll post that up to. I'm glad you're all getting a laugh out of 'em - at least, I hope you all are. :)

Man.. I feel like I'm spamming this thread. I'm sorry >_<, this is just one of my favourite threads of this forum. If I'm posting too much er... someone stop/shoot me. :p

I finished my next n3rdc0r3 comic tonight. This is number fifteen. I hope you all like it, it's titled "Dreaming".
