Probably one of the biggest questions I secretly judge people by. Not really, but I just want to see what everybody else likes. If you feel like recommending stuff, that's cool too.
I won't go into all the numerous new genres that are out there like nu-metal, rap-core, etc etc. But I mostly listen to: Rock Hard Rock Industrial Pop Hip hop Jazz Latin Blues Basically I enjoy all different types of music. I'm not a huge fan of country however. I will listen to Johnny Cash but I hardly consider him country. What about you? You can't ask us to show you our's and you not show us your's.
I like alternative, hard rock, a couple of metal songs. Johnny Cash is also really good. But yeah, if nobody knows, OK Computer is the name of one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands, Radiohead. I don't like much new hip hop, but groups like Wu-tang Clan and Public Enemy are awesome. I like all of those categories that you do, except I've always been a little confused as to what exactly industrial is. A lot of 90s alternative too. Probably the best era of music besides the 60s. Who are your favorite bands?
Industrial could be bands like Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, KMFDM and the like. As for bands I like...Well..There's a lot. From Nine Inch Nails to Rhianna to Maroon 5 to Johnny Cash to...Alice in Chains to The Beatles and CCR....The Postal Service, Muse, Radiohead, The Bravery, Michael Jackson....Man I can't even think of all the bands/artists I like.
Well, those certainly are all good places to start. Yeah, I'm like that too. Just too many goods bands to sit down and have to choose through them.
As a response to the question, "How important is music to you?" I'm going to quote some dude: “People started in caves, and cave dwellers didn’t really kick it up to being people until music. Sure there was paintings of themselves hunting and killing animals, but they were just repeating what they saw with paint and chalk. There was no creation, it was simply recreation. Elephants can do that. People only really started to branch out into higher beings and express that uniquely human soul with the inventive culmination of real and true music that continues to be today in various forms. That’s why all the purportedly greatest, or at least most interesting, people know that music is an important aspect of human reality.â€
You should edit your last option to "never"...I'm sure it's a typeo but I wouldn't want to select that option until I'm sure it was and I can feel confident saying I *never* did, instead of possibly saying that I did haha.
I like a lot actually Hard Rock Rock Metal Classic Rock Blues Jazz older Hip Hop older Rap Ska (all 3 waves so far) Reggae Latin Guitar
I actually think it's correct as is, because if you've ever listened to her, then you're on the bottom of the list and totally hate music.
Nice handle. Some of my favourite bands off the top of my head are Radiohead, Nirvana, Soundgarden, The Strokes, RATM, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Weezer, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Queens of the stone age, K-OS, Alexisonfire, Stone Temple Pilots, The Roots, Coldplay, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Outkast, Aphex Twin, Bjork, Deftones, Audioslave and some early Slipknot. I could go on but that's the jist of it.
The close knit list consists of The Clash, The Smiths, The Pixies, Jeff Buckley, Porcupine tree, Dinosaur Jr., Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Sam Roberts and Simon and Garfunkel.

My goal in life is to become a professional musician of some sort, so i'd say it's rather important to me. I listen to a really wide variety of music, but it really centers around various branches and sub-genres of jazz and rock. Some rap is ok, but a lot of it is mindless, degrading, and really serves no purpose, imo. I can do a little country, but it really drives me crazy after awhile when there's only like 5 topics to sing about, and 3 chords to do it in (yes, yes i bit of an overstatement, i know). anyway, some of my favorite groups/musicians, thought there are many more besides these: The Beatles Rolling Stones Puddle of Mudd Green Day Audioslave The Kooks Seether Dethklok (come on, who can't enjoy that?) Cold Beck Rage Against the Machine AC/DC Charlie Parker John Coltrane Count Basie Paul Desmond Btw, i'm wondering if anyone else does this: I tend to go through phases where i'll listen to one genre or style really heavily for a month or two, and then switch to a different genre or style. Does anyone else do this?
