I realize I'm late to the party here, but better late than never!

Just to clarify a bit more, it's not that Halo 4's multiplayer is necessarily bad, but simply that it's NOT Halo. Not by a long shot.
Halo is a game that I've been with since the original xbox. I remember having LAN parties with all my friends before live was around, and I remember Halo 2 introducing me to online gaming, which was something I had only dreamed of at that time!
And every Halo before 4 still felt like Halo. Halo 4, however, felt... wrong. Not necessarily like Call of Duty (although it certainly had some CoD elements to it), but the entire time I played it, it just felt off, and not nearly as fun as previous Halo titles. Even Reach still felt like Halo, just with a few added abilities.
And I think the statistics behind Halo 4's multiplayer really shows that it doesn't live up to past titles
