Usually when I come to the site I open a couple of tabs to view what I want then read through them. Now you guys have a twitch window on your articles that automatically opens when I click an article. It's disruptive and a waste of my bandwidth. Anyway to disable that?
Hey Drathbone. The Twitch player will only be embedded when we have gone live or are staging a rerun, and we will disable it when that isn't the case from here on out.
You can disable the Twitch window by using an ad or content blocker to block the embed, disabling autoplay in your browser settings, or checking the site’s account preferences for an option to turn off embedded media. It’s a bit like using room design online tools; just as you control what elements appear in a virtual layout, these steps let you control what loads on the page. If none of these work, contacting the site’s support to request a way to disable the Twitch window is recommended.
I feel the same — that auto-opening Twitch window is distracting and uses unnecessary bandwidth. It would be great if we had an option to disable it or make it opt-in. Hopefully the team considers adding a toggle soon.
