I'm not a huge fan of adding in the obligatory love interest who you know is going to be either killed or put in harm's way so that he can use his love and willpower to not be a machine.

The original movie didn't have too much of that, and that was a good thing.

I am all for putting more in depth female characters in films and in reboots, but i absolutely oppose making said female character exist just to be a tool for the main protagonist character arc. Robocop stops crime, that's his motivation. All we need thank you.

And i swear to god, if he ever says "I'm doing this for her" ANYWHERE in the film, i'll fly to L.A. with my bat and set a new home-run record. Final score, Lien 2 - James Vanderbilt's balls 0. The other 2 screenwriters? They'll live... so they can tell their children what happened there.

And for me I don't give as much of a care if they add in a strong female wife or not, since this isn't about that at all. But that's just a cheesy cliche that I'm really tired of in movies. I mean, I'm trying to see RoboCop, not Warm Flesh.
