System Shock 3?
The Tell Tale Batman game?
Dice working on a new Battlefield?

:(

I wish I didn't have to rely on another site for a lot of my gaming news but I hadn't heard about any of this from you guys and in my mind that's pretty big gaming news. What you guys do have in terms of news is awesome but I'd rather see the above coverage vs some of the other things I've seen.

I'm just going to run my own news site out of the forums.

In today's news: I bought a bunch of pizza rolls. Other mistakes later.

I dont know about the other two, but I could've sworn I saw a Tell Tale Batman announcement on the homepage not too long ago.

but, maybe not after doing a quick search.

4chan is my go to sadly

Here's some extra news for anyone who cares.

Nintendo announced two more DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U. Bayonetta and Corrin (Fire Emblem).

Bayonetta reveal video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Tv3w1V5_Mg

Corrin reveal video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMvgKqMWAlg

Bayonetta is an interesting, if not slightly controversial choice. She is a sexually suggestive character by nature, probably toned down for Smash though. She also uses guns. Like, guns that shoot bullets. This nitpick is being raised because when Snake was revealed for Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo explained that he would not use guns as they are too realistic and violent.

As for Corrin, no idea who they are. Corrin is a character who can be male or female, and is yet another sword wielding character from Fire Emblem. A lot of people are over sword wielding characters already, so here's another one to add fuel onto their fire.

Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII was released last week. Wanna know how he works? Check it out here - https://youtu.be/FpwhDkpk6JE

In another news, Crytek is releasing a game for the Ocolus Rift called "The Climb", a first person perspective game about rock climbing in gorgeous, exotic locations! Here's a video - https://youtu.be/6hqUx2SOTAQ

Bungie has introduced more microtransactions to Destiny. Now players can enhance their levels by buying "level packs" and you guessed it - they're expensive as shit.

Bandai has announced that next year, they'll be releasing a new Gundam game, Gundam Breaker, to PS4 and PS Vita. Look, I won't lie, it looks like crap, but I'm not a fan of those Japanese style arcadey action games, but hey, the Japanese love it - https://youtu.be/0PJluPR1EQw

And apparently (as reported by Japanese website Nikkei), Kojima has finally left Konami and will be starting his own studio with Sony! Is this true? No idea, because a Tweet from Gamespot claims this report is based off a mistranslation and that Nikkei did not report this. How much do you think Konami is paying Gamespot? ;)

Urban - I saw you mention costs. We actually just had some surprise budget cuts so you may notice we're a little less staffed than usual. Unfortunately, I can't get into details, but it's sad nonetheless.

We're still going strong, though, and are looking forward to some big things coming in 2016 that I can't talk about just yet.

I'll leave this open for suggestions for another week or so, then I'll close the thread, choose someone to get a PSN card, and likely delete the thread.

Thank you again all!

I posted the above quote, because I don't expect GR and its staff (mainly composed of freelance writers) to post every news. While GR is still my homepage, and most of the time I receive major news from them first, I truthfully don't come to GR for the news, but for its reviewers. I trust Nick Tan's opinion. His reviews are loquacious and informative. Heath Hindman has some pretty humorous articles and I mean "pretty." However, my social networks are my primary way of getting gaming news. I may not like sites like IGN, but they're good at getting news first.

I'm with Ugh. News sites & review sites probably cant keep up with my twitter feed or the larger sites that can probably hire a hoard of freelancers

And no one is asking for every bit of news but compared to the news we get versus what we don't, I'm sure many of us would rather get the stuff we're missing.

And reviews are scant.

Ugh's right. As he mentioned before in his quote, Anthony said that unfortunately they received some surprise budget cuts, so they're less staffed than usual and thus can't produce as many articles as they'd like. However, hopefully things will rise and get stronger in 2016.

I only do comics here at GR, but I've offered to write occasional articles for GR (for free at this stage) of any news that may get missed. Nick's okay with it, but it needs to be approved beforehand, so I may or may not be doing that (which either way, is okay with me). I'm not that good at writing, but I guess practice makes perfect? :p

I usually get most of my gaming news from this site, but also social media as well. Pages and people that I follow on Facebook usually post things of interest. I also go to GameTrailers and Kotaku. Unfortunately, Kotaku's quality of writing is really beginning to show, and not well at that, they seriously write a lot of filler, or self-agenda articles.

Mass Effect: Andromeda being tested as a full game? F- yeah.

Interested to see a KotoR 3, especially considering how dated the original two games are.

AC Syndicate patch released with a cloth physics tweak you can add in the ini that removes the 30 fps limit on cloth physics. Why that wasn't something they had fixed before launch is beyond me. Almost makes ubisoft seem sinister.

Idiot and sad man loses his job and wife over a three week Fallout 4 binge - https://www.rt.com/news/326272-gamer-russia-lawsuit-fallout4/

Batman: Arkham Knight's final DLC, "Season of Infamy" is out tomorrow. DLC throws at us multiple arch villains, a story that has you playing as Batman as well as a few other bits and pieces. It actually looks alright - https://youtu.be/LZz07bsWFEI (edit: scratch that, the DLC is apparently only about an hour long, plus the Rocksteady guys try way too hard to sell this)

Bethesda is having a massive sale on some of their older games -

Haha, good spot! I didn't see that madster had already found and claimed that bit of news.

Sorry madster! I'll sacrifice a goat in your honour.
