If you're thinking, "why would I get Oblivion when Skyrim is already out?" Well, for the same reason I bought Morrowind after I played Oblivion. They're very different games.

The amount of fun you can have in Oblivion through mods is immeasurable. I know the Skyrim mod community will explode before too long, but it will never have a lot of the things Oblivion has.

If your Skyrim is giving you guff and you want to wait til it's more playable, this is the way to go.
