Man, I still have the train set and all that jazz from way back.

I've come full circle as an adult and get to play with this on Sundays. (The very one in the picture!)

Damn! Is that Percy?
I'm going to go there with my little Percy toy model, place it right beside that and take a picture.
That will be worth the trip.

Its a Stevenson Hawthorne 0-4-0 which funnily enough, is just what Percy was based on. We've got another just like it. All the characters from the Thomas Universe (original, the books and first two seasons, none of that new 3D rubbish!) were based on real engines that W. R. Awdry came across during his life.

I've never heard of this "3D Thomas and the Tank Engine", and I am glad I never saw it. Can't have that kinda garbage ruin my childhood...
And seriously? Man, that's even better than him coming it up with the trains himself!
