If you can find it, you could also try X2 - The Threat. It's like Freelancer, but it is less 'arcade'. The controls are different, and you can do quite a bit more than in Freelancer.

I played Freelancer back when it came out. It was a cool game, although it felt like it coulda used a few more months in the oven.

Yeah there's a new Voyager game that just dropped on Steam! Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown came out Feb 18 on PC and consoles . You're in luck PC got it same day as everything else. Been a good year for Trek fans honestly. If you're into that tactical decision-making style, Warvox early access might scratch a similar itch while you're exploring the Delta Quadrant.
