Duke Quit!?!?

Just like Nick said, it has been quite the shock. We're going to miss him a lot for so many reasons. His presence will be missed immensely as will his home-made beer, drunken legal ramblings on the podcast and legendary manifestos.

I'm also sure that this isn't the last that any of us will hear from the bossman. I've already run into him at two events in the last two days and he knows pretty much everyone in the gaming business.

I'm sure you'll hear more from all of us soon, but for now, I raise my glass to you good sir and wish you well on your next adventure!

That's terrible news, and I'm sorry to hear it. I've missed GR, I've missed Duke, and now I'll miss Duke being at GR.

But it's also a great opportunity for Nick and Blake. Time to step up and make the site your own, fellas. Do it for Duke!

I go on vacation for a week and this shit happens!

GOD DAMN.....

Duke.

If you can read this, thank you for leading the charge and keeping Game Revolution as it was for the past 15 years. I can think of no other editor, writer, and overall gamer who has kept the gaming world honest with the reviews it gives, and has given us so much entertainment in return.

I will truly miss you, brother.

Nick, Blake, keep it going. For us, at least.

The holy trinity is now complete. This is not good. ...Incur the vengeful wrath of a Flying Spaghetti Monster!

Sad to see another piece leave. Thanks for making GR a fun place to visit. We wouldn't have stuck around if it weren't for the work you guys put in during those early years.
Happy trails to you, good man.

We think that Game Revolution should be the first resource you check for gaming information. Odds are, we have exactly what you are looking for. Don't like it? Go someplace else.

someplace else no longer looks so bad :l

Only thing I can think of is that he did something to break contract. Cant see another reason how they could fire him or why they would want to. Maybe that hawaii trip budget didn't add up.

If our gods can die... then so can we...

Duke, you were awesome. You're the one who made me realized the internet is worth going to almost everyday...
Thank you...

Can we get hot babes of the week on the site, now? :D

no duke! come back! you are a important person in gaming history. come back. your leaving is making me grow a mangina. don't do this to mee!!! shit, too late, my mangina is now perioding all over. only duke coming back will make it stop!

He's not taking the hummingbird porn with him is he?

I'm actually quite saddened by this, genuinely I'm worried for the future of GR.

If Duke was asked to leave then I am truly upset and will probably not patronize this site anymore.

Duke is GR. By removing Duke they have removed me as well.

To hell with Crave. Just because DeathSpank is published by EA doesn't mean you shouldn't play it, and unless GR turns into some corrupt Crave-spawn now that Duke's gone, I see no reason to stop coming besi--OH THE WHITE IS MELTING MY EYES!!!

^I couldn't agree more with this statement, but would instead use "telling the creator to get out". Reading Maca's post kinda riled me. Crave has slowly pushed us aside and the stupid thing is without the GR community there would be no GR, and they wouldn't have wanted to buy this site in the first place.

For instance, I came to know most of you by clicking on topics listed on the "Recent Forum Activity" box that you could find alongside reviews and articles. If it hadn't been for that box, I never would have enjoyed your topics, come to know you and eventually joined. By removing that box, they cut off people like me from joining (for good or for bad, depending on your opinion of users like me).

So I visited this Crave site, and without even knowing what or who they were I found it to be complete fucking shit. Now I'm understanding that they are the 'power' behind GR? As in they purchased this website years back?

Wow.
