I mostly listen to this local station that plays alternative music. It's a mix of stuff from the 90's and stuff that is more current. I half-jokingly call it the oldies station of my generation.

My favorite segment though is on Sunday. They devote two hours to local artists, lesser known or up-and-coming artists, and so on. The nice thing is the DJ puts the playlist up on their site and I usually listen to them while playing WoW.

You can check out the playlists here if you like:

Leave My Body - Florence + The Machine. I can't believe I never listened to her music before, it's so good.

    Florence's mother writes useful books.

I haven't gotten into something new in a while... Sometimes I feel like I actually don't want new music, because I have songs for all the moods I'm in. If I want something 'new', I'll just jazz or ambient it up. Meh.

On the point of local music, yeah. CBC Radio, man. Thrive.

As the fall continues I've been enjoying Of The Wand and The Moons The Lone Descent album. Love everything about it. The little sound clips from old movies, parts of chaotic noise and the steady harmonic strumming of the guitar accompanied by the speech like vocals.

Way Yes - Tog Pebbles has been playing a lot too. The happy melodic music with little clicks and clacks and the often sad lyrics are a great mix.

It is a pretty great mix.

I've been listening to a lot of Swedish hip-hop recently, of all things. And no, I don't speak swedish. At all.
