    All things considered, time of release, etc, this is the best ****ing videogame CGI of all time. I'm 31, and I was 19 when this came out. Just let that sink in for a minute, and appreciate just how far ahead of it's time this intro was.

    The CG video scenes in Final Fantasy 8 are gorgeous, and are still some of my favorites.

    It sure looks good for 96' but you can see its age in some scenes.

    And they also had budgets in the millions just for 90 minutes of CGI. Games have only recently begun to have comparable budgets to blockbuster movies.

    Gosh i loved Soul Edge... I played that thing until my thumbs started screaming for help.
    It's funny that with a small change of the sequels' names a lot of Soul Calibur fans don't even know about the game that started it all.

    ^actually it originally game out for the Amiga
    Then it came out for PC and Genesis
    Then Snes
    Then all CD systems of the time with added rendered cutscenes
